SKULL FIST, hailing from Canada, are the metal sensation of 2011! It’s been a long time since this level of ingenuity and catchiness has had a place in true Metal songs like those from Jackie Slaughter & Co. Songs like „Head of the Pack“, „Get fisted“ or „No False Metal“ may on first sight sound like sterotypically cheesey trad metal, but in case of SKULL FIST it´s simply authentic and cool as hell! „Heavier Than Metal“ is a damn fine Metal anthem. On the tour in April 2011 with Bullet and Enforcer SKULL FIST absolutely killed it and showed them all! After only four days 200 pieces of the CD EP were already sold, new merchandise had to be ordered, often they even sold out the headlining acts. At the Keep It True festival this year it seemed that 90 % of the audience was wearing a SKULL FIST t-shirt, even though the band wasn´t even playing there this year! SKULL FIST is a cult already, an underground phenomenon which is now spreading like a virus all over the heavy metal scene! SKULL FIST convince with a mix of traditional sounding (Judas Priest), hits and songwriting skills (Iron Maiden), coolness and airiness (Bullet, Enforcer). A likeable, young and ambitious group, which still sees Heavy Metal as a way of life, the future belongs to these soon-to-be Superstars. In December 2010 SKULL FIST won the Rock The Nation Award, securing a booking deal with Rock The Nation as well as a label deal with NoiseArt Records, and with their EP „Heavier Than Metal“, the past tour with Enforcer/Bullet the upcoming album „Head öf the Pack“ and the upcoming tour with SABATON, things couldn´t be much better for the young Canadians. They are aiming high and are about to make it big time in the music scene! Singer Jackie Slaughter is a positive maniac, a real frontman and a true rockstar!
