“What a band! 11 tracks of molten muscular metal! A gem of an album” - Powerplay
HEADSPEED are an explosive, high- energy metal band, which were formed in 2002 in the home of heavy metal, Wolverhampton, England.
The band spent the early part of 2004 putting together a truly awesome live set, which has to be seen to be believed. After only a handful of shows, magazines and local radio were falling over themselves to find out more about HEADSPEED. Being likened to acts such as Machine Head and Tool, but with their own unique sound, the band were quickly winning many new friends and fans.
With this HEADSPEED called on old friend Andy Mills, from Spool Studios, who agreed that with the right marketing, the potential for this band could be colossal, and so they set about recording the “BLUEPRINT FOR DISASTER” album at Spool in early 2004, the band were then quickly snapped up by UK label Casket Music.
In the months before the release, the band were invited to open up shows for Anthrax, Cradle of Filth, Stampin Ground, Testament, Sikth and Breed 77, thus expanding the ever-growing fan base, and further confirming the marketplace for HEADSPEED’s music.
