Light This City’s sound is inspired by legendary melodic death metal acts such as Carcass and At the Gates, while combining the elements of older thrash metal of Metallica, Megadeth and Testament. Laura Nichol, Ben Murray, and Mike Dias who wrote all the songs that would become their 2003 debut The Hero Cycle released on Reflections of Ruin Records formed LTC in 2002. One and a half years of touring and promotion followed along with the addition of guitarists Brian Forbes and Nick Koenig out of which is born the group’s Prosthetic Records debut Remains of the Gods. With an average age of 18 years old, an unbelievable rhythm section, a powerful front-woman, and all the melodic brutality one could ask for, Light This City is ready to take on the world city by city.
