'The Luminous Experience', recorded on the darkest hour of Midsummer night 2008 in Enschede (The Netherlands), is the first complete live album from raison d'être featuring the whole set of one concert. The live set mainly contains live only material: a mixture of composed and improvised elements that has never been experienced on CD before. Present here are also some live adapted compositions from the albums 'The Empty Hollow Unfolds' and 'Metamorphyses'. 'The Luminous Experience' is the 11th original album by raison d'être since their first album 'Prospectus I', released 15 years ago.
Biography:
Raison d'être formed in 1991 as a tool of expression with the goal of self-realization. Behind the project is the highly respected and multitalented sound artist Peter Andersson. For over one and a half decade now, and with a vast number of CD releases on the Cold Meat Industry label, raison d'être have been supplying listeners with overwhelming dark ambient industrial landscapes of beauty and sorrow. Experiencing raison d'être is like a journey of awakening in the dark hidden domains finding keys to the inner self. But this is not all. Peter Andersson host not only one but up to nine other projects representing different sides, paths and sounds aspects of the Andersson character. The most well known except for raison d'être being Stratvm Terror, Necrophorus, Bocksholm and Atomine Elektrine.
