This all-star project brings together four world renowned musicians who authoritatively straddle the worlds of freewheeling jazz improvisation and kinetic, rock-fuelled intensity, creating a savvy blending of acoustic and electric instruments into a provocative and hard-hitting hybrid on their new CD entitled “Flashpoint”.

Drummer Steve Smith is the leader of acclaimed jazz/rock group Vital Information, has been voted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame, named one of the top 25 Drummers of All Time, and has toured and recorded with some of biggest names in both jazz and rock including Journey and Jean-Luc Ponty.

Saxophonist and respected jazz veteran Dave Liebman toured and recorded with jazz legends Elvin Jones (1971-1973) and Miles Davis (1973-1974). Liebman has led his own groups for the past 30 years and is also currently a member of the acclaimed Saxophone Summit (with Michael Brecker and Joe Lovano) who appeared with them on the cover “Downbeat” magazine within the year. The brilliant Turkish keyboardist Aydin Esen, has toured and recorded with Miroslav Vitous, Woody Shaw, Pat Metheny, Roy Haynes, Gary Burton, Vinnie Colaiuta, Peter Erskine, Trilok Gurtu and many others.

Highly influential bassist Anthony Jackson, has recording credits that number well over 500, which have resulted in more than 30 gold and platinum records, three Grammy awards and include recordings with Buddy Rich, Chick Corea, John Scofield, Paul Simon, Steely Dan and The O’Jays -- that’s his flanged bass line on their millon-selling single ‘For The Love Of Money’
